This is a guide to InMode MiniFX compiled by Dr. Choi Byeong-geun of SHINE U Clinic Konkuk (3 minutes walk from Konkuk Univ. Station Exit 1).
Many people are concerned about their double chin when they look in the mirror. We've examined the roles of InMode and Tuneliner, which are often used together for intensive double chin management.
Reasons for a double chin
As we age, skin elasticity decreases, making a double chin more likely to form.
- When collagen and elastin decrease, causing the skin to lose elasticity
- Muscle weakening and inappropriate lifestyle habits
- When rapid weight gain or loss puts a strain on the skin
What InMode addresses
InMode is an RF-based device that addresses fat in the double chin and jowls, while also improving elasticity. The Forma handpiece promotes the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid in the dermis, while the MiniFX handpiece targets fat cells and is used for contouring.
The principle is that fat cells treated once do not regenerate, aiming for a change in contour.
Burn prevention design
Although InMode is an RF lifting treatment, it is equipped with a real-time burn prevention system. It is designed to check skin temperature 1000 times per second to reduce the burden caused by heat.
What Tuneliner adds
Tuneliner uses volumetric ultrasound to intensively target fat cells in the double chin and deep jowls to refine the face line. It also addresses cellulite and swelling, and stimulates collagen to improve elasticity.

Reasons for using both methods together
InMode and Tuneliner address different aspects, namely elasticity and fat, respectively. Therefore, using them together broadens the scope of treatment. However, the combination and application method may vary depending on the amount of fat and skin condition.
Reasons why consultation comes first
It is important to determine the combination that can create synergy after checking your face and skin type. Even for the same double chin, the appropriate method may differ depending on the amount of fat.
Double chin management should consider both elasticity and fat. If you are concerned about a newly formed double chin, we recommend getting a diagnosis first to find the combination that is right for you.
