Dry Season Lift With HIFU and Hydrating Ampoule

I have summarized my experience of combining ultrasound lifting and moisturizing ampoules to address both elasticity and moisture during the season when temperatures drop and the air becomes dry.

This is a guide to Ultherapy PRIME compiled by Dr. Choi Byeong-geun of SHINE U Clinic Konkuk (3 minutes walk from Konkuk Univ. Station Exit 1).

When temperatures drop and the dry season continues, a series of changes such as dead skin cells and loss of elasticity often occur. Coupled with aging, wrinkles and sagging become a concern, leading to consultations that focus on both elasticity and moisture.

Why it's more concerning in the dry season

In the cold and dry season, skin often loses elasticity and moisture easily. I tried self-care, but there were clear limitations with functional cosmetics alone.

  • Dead skin cells form, making the skin texture rough
  • Moisture loss leads to faster loss of elasticity
  • The later you start, the harder it tends to be to care for

Rather than just looking at the surface, I looked for methods that encompassed the dermis and SMAS layer.

HIFU acts on deep layers

Ultrasound lifting uses HIFU to deliver energy deep into the skin. In this process, it helps collagen production and tightens loosened tissue, so you can expect a tightening effect. It helped improve elasticity by delivering ultrasound energy not only to the epidermis but also to the deep fibromuscular layer.

Reduced burden with two-way delivery

Two-way laser delivery is possible, which shortens the procedure time and reduces the burden of pain, making it relatively comfortable to receive. Another feature was that you could choose the appropriate tip from several options depending on the area. I felt a noticeable change as the sagging areas were tightened, and the facial contours became smoother. However, the degree of results may vary from person to person.

If you want to take care of both elasticity and moisture, inquire first via consultation chat.

Modes divided by area

This method was largely divided into two modes. The one-type booster, which covers wide areas, was suitable for large areas such as the forehead, cheeks, and chin, while the line-type mode was suitable for narrow areas such as around the eyes, under the eyes, and around the mouth. The key was to apply different modes depending on the area and size.

Why a moisturizing ampoule was added

Since it was the dry season, I proceeded with elasticity care along with a moisturizing ampoule to replenish moisture. The composition was to fill elasticity from the deep layers and supplement surface dryness with moisturizing. By combining the two, considering the seasonal characteristics, I felt that my skin texture became much more comfortable.

Thoughts on when to start

It felt better to get checked when concerns started to become noticeable, as it becomes more difficult to treat the problem area the later you start. However, since the appropriate mode and composition vary depending on the skin condition, the process of planning through consultation was important.

If you are curious about elasticity care in the dry season, check the composition that suits you through consultation. You can also look at Thermage FLX, which is good to see together, or skin booster injection for moisture care.
