This is a guide to Eravity lifting, compiled by Dr. Choi Byeong-geun of SHINE U Clinic Konkuk (3 minutes walk from Konkuk Univ. Station, Exit 1).

After washing my face, I started to notice enlarged pores, and I realized that my skin was losing elasticity. I tried various foods and home care methods, but I felt limited because I was following methods recommended by others without knowing my own skin condition. I've organized the questions I had during my consultation.

Why does skin lose elasticity?

As collagen and elastin, which maintain elasticity, decrease, the skin is said to become thinner and lose elasticity. Fibroblasts, which produce these, also become less active as aging progresses. While sufficient sleep and regular exercise can help, it was not easy to noticeably restore elasticity through habits alone.

I decided to combine lifestyle improvements with care that works on deeper layers.

How does Eravity work?

Unlike existing methods that concentrate heat on the surface, Eravity uses a vertical heat transfer method that gradually builds up heat from the inside. This process delivers heat from deep within, rather than just the surface, to activate damaged collagen and fibroblasts. Since fibroblasts are the foundation for producing collagen and elastin, I was impressed by this approach that addresses the fundamental stage.

Is there a lot of pain?

I'm sensitive to pain, so I consulted thoroughly before receiving the treatment. It was fine without anesthesia, and I was able to return to daily life. It is said to reduce pain by using a 1064 wavelength laser with a fast pulse repetition rate and micro-pulses to increase heat penetration. Since it's a non-invasive method, I was able to improve both elasticity and tone without incisions. However, the degree of sensation may vary from person to person.

If you're curious about the detailed procedure, please inquire first via consultation chat.

Can it be customized for different areas?

Eravity has two modes and 4 levels of control, allowing for customized treatment for each area. This allowed for delicate collagen reconstruction. Just as facial features differ, areas of concern can also differ, so it was good to proceed after checking the degree of sagging at a clinic with extensive clinical experience.

How often should I receive treatment?

The 40Hz energy is delivered to the dermis and deep layers, but the interval varied from person to person. After a detailed check of the degree of sagging, individuals were guided on how to proceed consistently at intervals of several weeks. It was important to create a plan tailored to the condition, rather than a fixed number of sessions.

What happens if I neglect it?

If you neglect it, thinking it will be fine, wrinkles can deepen in areas where you frequently express emotions, such as around the eyes, mouth, and forehead, and pores can also enlarge. If elasticity decreases, the barrier function weakens, leading to greater moisture loss, dryness, and a vicious cycle of faster elasticity loss. Therefore, I felt it was better to start care when it first became noticeable.

If you're wondering if Eravity is right for your elasticity concerns, please check via consultation chat. You can also compare it with Ultherapy PRIME, which targets different depths, or Thermage FLX, a high-frequency lifting treatment.
