This is a guide to InMode Former compiled by Dr. Choi Byeong-geun of SHINE U Clinic Konkuk (3 minutes walk from Konkuk Univ. Station Exit 1).

Many people feel that their skin has lost its elasticity and their tone has become dull, making makeup not look as good as it used to. We've put together how InMode is applied in the clinic when both elasticity and tone are concerns.

Changes seen when elasticity decreases

As we age, changes are often first noticed in the face.

  • When firmness and volume decrease, and wrinkles become noticeable.
  • When wrinkles deepen according to facial muscles.
  • When the facial contour becomes round due to jowls and a double chin.

What InMode Former addresses

InMode Former activates elastin cells, collagen, and hyaluronic acid with high-frequency thermal energy. Elastin, along with collagen, provides elasticity and prevents sagging, but its production capacity decreases with age. Former stimulates these cells to address wrinkles and elasticity.

A distinctive feature is that it stimulates cells to address elasticity, rather than artificially adding it.

What InMode MiniFX adds

MiniFX is a facial contour lifting treatment that targets fat cells in the double chin, jowls, and cheeks. It works by creating holes in fat cell membranes using electrical stimulation, and the treated cells do not regenerate.

Burn prevention design

Although InMode is a high-frequency lifting treatment, it is designed to reduce the burden of heat by operating a burn prevention system that checks skin temperature 1,000 times per second.

Why pores are also addressed

When elasticity is lost, pores that were too small to be seen can become increasingly noticeable. In some cases, enlarged pores are addressed along with elasticity.

Recovery and daily life

Recovery time is relatively fast, so it places less burden on daily life. However, results and recovery patterns may vary from person to person.

When both elasticity and tone are concerns, an approach that addresses both areas together can be helpful. We recommend getting a diagnosis first to find the method that suits your condition.
