Shurink is the most searched device by those who are looking into lifting for the first time. It is often mentioned as an introductory lifting treatment due to its relatively short procedure time and fast recovery. If it's your first time, you probably have many questions, so we'll organize them in the order of frequently asked questions in the consultation room.
How does Shurink lift the skin?
Shurink uses HIFU technology, which concentrates ultrasound energy at a single point deep within the skin, much like a magnifying glass focuses sunlight. The energy reaches the dermis, fat layer, and the SMAS layer (fascia layer), which is the core support layer for sagging, without damaging the epidermis, creating thermal coagulation points of about 60-70 degrees Celsius. The basic principle is that these coagulation points instantly contract and lift the tissue.
When do the effects appear?
The effects appear in two stages: immediate lifting and long-term elasticity improvement.
- Immediately after the procedure: A feeling of tightening as the thermal coagulation points contract the tissue.
- Over 2-3 months: Fibroblasts are activated, and new collagen and elastin are generated, gradually improving elasticity and density.
What changes depending on the depth?
Shurink uses various cartridges with different depths.

A stinging or tingling heat sensation may be felt at the moment the energy is concentrated, but it is reported to be relatively mild compared to other high-intensity devices. The perception of pain may vary from person to person. Since it passes through the surface and acts only at the target depth, almost no separate recovery period is needed, allowing for a quick return to daily life.
"If it's my first time, isn't it better to get a lot of shots?" This is a frequently asked question. Designing where to place the energy by diagnosing the direction of sagging, fat distribution, and areas to avoid is more related to satisfaction than the number of shots. Results may vary from person to person.
Is it helpful for a double chin?
When energy is applied to the sagging jawline and double chin area with a 4.5mm tip, the loosened fascia and some fat layers contract, helping to refine the contour.
