This is an Aqua Peel guide compiled by Dr. Choi Byeong-geun of SHINE U Clinic Konkuk (3 minutes walk from Konkuk Univ. Station Exit 1).

Spring is a season where sudden cold snaps, yellow dust, and fine dust coexist. In such an environment, the skin tends to become dry, pores can widen, and dead skin cells can accumulate, leading to a dull complexion and potential skin troubles. We have summarized the process of Aqua Peel, which is used for pore management in spring.

Reasons why skin becomes sensitive in spring

When the weather gets warmer and the daily temperature range increases, the skin can become sensitive and prone to troubles. If you forcefully remove dead skin cells or apply multiple products without checking your skin condition, it can lead to redness or an increase in troubles.

It is often difficult to figure out what went wrong on your own, so checking your condition first can be helpful.

What is Aqua Peel?

Aqua Peel is a combination of "aqua" (water) and "peel," referring to a method of gently exfoliating dead skin cells using water. Because it uses water, it is relatively less irritating, making it a comparatively comfortable option even for sensitive skin.

3-step process

Aqua Peel typically proceeds in the following three steps:

  1. Apply water-soluble AHA to the entire face to remove dead skin cells and water-soluble waste.
  2. Use oil-soluble BHA to intensively clean sebum, blackheads, and other waste inside the pores.
  3. Supply moisture and nutrients to the cleansed pores with highly concentrated essence and vitamins.

Expected changes

It is used not only to remove dead skin cells but also to clean sebum, waste, and demodex mites, and to refine skin texture by supplying moisture.

  • Removal of blackheads and whiteheads
  • Cleaning of waste inside pores
  • Refinement of skin texture through moisture and nutrient supply

Time and burden

The procedure time is not long, so it is less burdensome. However, suitability and results may vary depending on individual skin condition.

Maintaining results after care

To maintain the results for a long time, it is advisable to review irritating foods and lifestyle habits, and to use products suitable for your skin. Sufficient rest and hydration can also be helpful.

In spring, pores are prone to clogging and dead skin cells can accumulate, so it is best to check your skin condition first and start with basic care. If troubles recur, we recommend having your skin condition checked.
