Ultrasound and radiofrequency differ in their target layers and mechanisms, so when used together, they can be assigned different roles.
Shurink's Role
Shurink uses two modes of ultrasound energy to provide customized access to deep layers. It utilizes high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) to focus energy on the SMAS layer, regenerating collagen and contracting sagging tissue without damaging the surface. It approaches the upper and lower dermis and the fibromuscular layer with different cartridges, customizing the treatment for each area.
InMode Former's Role
- Activates collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastin with radiofrequency thermal energy.
- Works to support the skin and prevent sagging.
- Delivers energy deep into areas that general lasers cannot reach.
In addition to Former, InMode also has InMode MiniFX, which is used to treat fat cells in double chins and sagging jowls.

Safety Features
Since InMode uses radiofrequency, which involves heat, there may be concerns about burns. However, a burn prevention system operates in real-time, checking skin temperature 1000 times per second during the procedure. A key feature is that it works to minimize surface burden.
