Tattoos are now in an era where they are removed or re-inked depending on trends or meaning. As such, many people are curious about "how much it will cost, how many sessions it will take, and if it's safe." This article summarizes what determines the cost and number of sessions for tattoo removal.
Two Questions Everyone Asks
Even with various types of tattoos, there are common concerns.
- Worry about whether it will be removed well
- Worry about whether it can be removed without scars, as it was etched on the body
Therefore, it is important to choose equipment that satisfies both safety and effectiveness.
How PicoSure Treats Pigmentation
PicoSure selectively targets pigmentation.
- It is equipment approved by the US FDA and the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
- It targets only pigmentation with a 755nm wavelength, minimizing damage to surrounding tissues.
- The irradiation time per session is very short, allowing for strong and rapid decomposition.
Can Color Tattoos Be Removed?
Yes, they can be removed.
- It handles not only blue and black tattoos but also colors such as red.
- However, the more diverse the colors, the more wavelengths and sessions are required.
- Results may vary depending on the pigmentation and skin condition.
If you are curious about how your tattoo color affects removal, check it out by consulting for tattoo removal.
What Determines the Cost and Number of Sessions?
This is the most frequently asked question.
- It varies depending on the tattoo's shape, area, pigmentation, and depth.
- Skin condition also affects the number of sessions.
- The cost will be guided after consultation and varies depending on the number of sessions.
Tattoos are not removed in a single session and require multiple sessions. However, it is reported that the number of sessions can be reduced when performed with effective equipment.
What About the Pain?
It cannot be said that there is no pain.
- It is often felt to be more painful when removing than when getting a tattoo.
- PicoSure is reported to have reduced pain compared to existing equipment.
- The degree of pain varies from person to person.
Also Used for Pigmentary Disorders
PicoSure has various modes.
- The toning mode is used for pigmentary disorders such as melasma, freckles, blemishes, and acne scars.
- For pigmentation management, please refer to PicoSure Toning.
- For semi-permanent eyebrow and eyeliner removal, please refer to PicoSure Semi-Permanent Tattoo Removal.
Precautions After the Procedure
It is recommended to follow these precautions after the procedure.
- When removing eyebrow tattoos, the eyebrows may temporarily appear white but will return to normal after 1-2 weeks.
- For swelling and redness on the day of the procedure, ice packs are helpful; if blisters are severe, visit the clinic.
- Apply the prescribed ointment and avoid saunas, jjimjilbangs (Korean bathhouses), and strenuous exercise.
Even with the same equipment, the results can vary depending on a comprehensive and meticulous approach to pigmentation, depth, and skin condition. If you are curious about a plan tailored to your tattoo, please feel free to inquire by asking about my removal cost.
