This is a guide to Botox compiled by Dr. Choi Byeong-geun of SHINE U Clinic Konkuk (3 minutes walk from Konkuk Univ. Station Exit 1).
When considering dermatological procedures, we often receive the question, "Where should I start?" Since each individual's condition and criteria differ, there isn't one single answer. However, organizing frequently reviewed procedures by concern type can help you find direction.

First, accurately assess your current condition
Even small differences in the face can change one's impression, so it's important to consult with a specialist to determine what changes would suit your individual condition.
Even for the same concern, the cause and appropriate approach may differ from person to person.
If you are concerned about an angular face shape
An angular face shape can have various causes, such as the development of masticatory muscles due to teeth-grinding habits, or the shape of the jawbone. If the masticatory muscles are the cause, we consider using Botox to relax that area and refine the jawline.
If you are concerned about volume loss or sagging
- For sunken areas, we consider supplementing volume with filler.
- If you are concerned about reduced elasticity, we also look at lifting procedures.
If you're wondering what order is right for you, you can check first through chat consultation.
If you are concerned about acne and scars
Acne is divided into inflammatory stages and scar/facial redness stages. At our clinic, we approach this by combining Capri laser, which treats inflammation, with stages that manage red marks and scars, aiming to reduce treatment time. Depending on the condition, extraction or medication may also be administered concurrently.
In summary
The starting point for skin concerns varies depending on the type. Since each person's desired criteria and current condition are different, creating a customized plan is key. Please organize your questions through chat consultation and confirm the appropriate sequence for you during a consultation with Dr. Choi Byeong-geun.
